Martin: No Filter Fighters is a browser-based fighting game — the one people mean when they search for "the Martin game" or "the Martin video game" after a clip shows up on TikTok. It is made by a solo developer working under the name Trey2k23, credited to TDHampton Productions, and takes the cast of the 1990s sitcom Martin — Martin Payne, Gina, Pam, Cole, Tommy, plus the show's alter egos Sheneneh, Jerome and Dragonfly Jones — and rebuilds them as a 2D arcade fighter.
The project is explicit about what it is: an unofficial, non-commercial fan tribute. The creator states plainly that Martin and its characters belong to their respective owners, and that the game is not affiliated with or endorsed by the show's creators, cast or networks. The listing also discloses AI assistance in code, graphics, sound and text, with design and direction handled by the developer.
That sets expectations: this is not a studio production with a balance team. It ships character updates every few days — Bruh-Man, Bob from Marketing and the vertical Next Level transitions all landed within two weeks.
Fan games based on sitcoms usually turn out to be one animated sprite and a punch sound. This one has four attack buttons per player, a special, two supers, a single-use sidekick, a training mode and online play through room codes. The comedy is on top of a working fighting game rather than instead of one.
Every signature move is a specific bit from the show rather than a generic fireball — Martin's mic drop, Varnell's Catfish Cannon, Dragonfly Jones calling in his assistant with "KG, ATTACK!". If you watched the show, the recognition lands before you learn a single input.
Every match is a pair. You pick a fighter, then a sidekick who can be called in once — and no character can appear twice in the same match. That makes character select a two-step decision.
Martin's Mic Drop, Big Shirley, Party Over Here, Job Roulette, Varnell's Catfish Cannon and Dragonfly's "KG, ATTACK!" are all built on specific bits. The supers are the reason fans of the sitcom recognise the game immediately.
Smash an opponent through a wall and the fight continues in a different stage. The 13.2 update added the vertical version: an uppercut sends them up through the ceiling, a slam sends them down through the floor.
No account, no queue. Create a room, send the code, play. The simplest implementation that works.
Touch buttons appear automatically on phones and tablets. Any controller is detected after one button press. Meta Quest 2 and 3 can run it on a virtual screen with the Touch controllers.
Eleven fighters in version 13.2. Full breakdowns and sidekick pairings are on the Martin: No Filter Fighters roster page.
Mic Drop super. Story chapter: "No Filter: The Tournament".
Fast normals, short reach. Pressure players pick her.
Heavier hits, slower recovery. Wants respect up close.
Big damage windows you have to earn.
Clean fundamentals — a good first main.
Angles and momentum, plus the most quoted lines.
Catfish Cannon. Wants space and punishes jumps.
"KG, ATTACK!" brings a second body. Own stage and story.
Ice powers and freeze combos. Own stage: The Playa's Ball.
Launches opponents up through the ceiling.
Pizza boxes, Hype dance, phone-call super.
Nine arenas, each with its own theme music, most of them connected by stage breaks: The Varnell Hill Show, Martin's Apartment, Club GTD, Sheneneh's Salon, Nipsey's, Dragonfly's Dojo, The Playa's Ball, The Fifth Flo' and The Corporate Party.
Story runs character-specific chapters — "No Filter: The Tournament" for Martin, "The Way of the Dragonfly" for Dragonfly Jones. Arcade is a run of opponents with CPU difficulty you set before starting.
Local versus puts two players on one keyboard; online versus uses a room code you send to a friend. Training removes health pressure, and CPU Showcase lets you watch the computer fight itself to scout a character before committing.
Yes, and there is no paid tier hiding behind it. The browser build is free with no account and no energy meter. The Windows, Linux and Steam Deck downloads are free too — listed as "name your own price", so you can pay to support the project but you do not have to.
The developer is explicit that this is a non-commercial fan tribute, and that donations go toward their original games rather than this one. There is no season pass, no character DLC and no ads inside the game.

This is an independent Martin: No Filter Fighters fan page. We embed the creator's own hosted build rather than re-uploading it, so every play still counts for the person who made the game, and updates reach you without us touching anything. If the creator asks us to take the embed down, we will.
If you want the offline build, the developer's links, or to leave a rating, use the original listing: Martin: No Filter Fighters on itch.io.
